Yip it is true tomorow, I head off to Kerala in India for a once in a lifetime experience.
Last year I was tagged in a tweet about the #KeralaBlogExpress. I investigated further and decided to apply and see what happens. So what is it you ask ?Well Kerala Tourism host 30 bloggers from around the world for 2 weeks and take them on a journey discovering God’s own country.
Part of the selection process included your application and once you were approved there was a public voting part. The selection criteria took into account not only your votes but your blog and social media interactions. I did all that was required and did not think I would stand a chance to go as there were so many bloggers who had thousands of votes.
So when I received the email saying I was selected to go I was totally gobsmacked and lost of words. I could not believe it that I was going to Kerala. The weeks that followed have been super busy with work and planning for my trip.
Going to India which is my first trip , is rather special for many reasons. I am 5th generation South African Indian so my ancestors came from India but not sure where though we are Telegu and so one would assume Andra Pradesh. This year 2016 I have decided to find myself and my spiritual path what better place to start my journey than in God’s own Country. To me Kerala will be my #EatPrayLove journey. I arrive tomorow in Kerala on Valentines Day who knows what my journey will bring but one thing for sure it will be food for my soul. I am looking forward to meeting my fellow #KBE travel buddies and the team who are hosting us.
